the number of patients coming to the clinic asking

I heard this exact statement from three different patients just last week.

Today, I'll break down the reasons behind this for you.

They may look similar, but the key difference lies elsewhere

Secret RF uses micro-needles to

directly deliver radiofrequency heat to the dermal layer of the skin.

Chemical Peels use acidic components to

dissolve and remove the surface keratin layer.

If Chemical Peels are 'surface remodeling',

Secret RF is 'dermal remodeling'.

The depth of action is fundamentally different.

Why do some people see no change even after 10 sessions?

Last month, a woman in her mid-30s came to see me.

I usually explain using one of three categories.

However, this doesn't mean it's always better.

Since Secret RF uses needles,

there will be erythema and micro-scabs on the day of procedure lasting 2-3 days.

You should avoid this before important events,

and sensitive individuals may experience

discomfort even with numbing cream.

However, for those who can tolerate the downtime,

it's definitely more advantageous than repeating Chemical Peels

in terms of total cost and time investment.

Q1. Between Laser toning and Secret RF, which is better for pores?

A. This is a bit tricky because

they serve different purposes.

Laser toning is strong for pigmentation and tone correction,

while Secret RF is much more powerful for actually reducing pore size.

If you have both dull tone and enlarged pores,

I often recommend alternating between the two procedures.

Q2. Is one session of Secret RF effective? Do I absolutely need 3 sessions?

A. To be honest,

you'll notice smoother skin texture even after just 1 session.

However, actual reduction in pore size

takes time for collagen regeneration,

so visible results appear from the 2nd session onwards.

Considering the maintenance period,

I recommend 2-3 sessions spaced 1 month apart.

Q3. Is it okay to combine Chemical Peels with Secret RF?

A. Yes, combining them is often better.

However, doing them on the same day increases skin burden,

so we usually schedule them 2 weeks apart alternately.

After Secret RF, once all scabs have fallen off

and the skin barrier has recovered,

we add a gentle Chemical Peel in that order.
