If you approach Ulthera in the same way for both men and women, unwanted effects may occur.

Hello,

I am Chief Director Kim Ga-eul.

Before each treatment,

I always make sure to have a thorough conversation with the client and carefully check the chart.

Because the most important criterion in treatment is ‘the client's needs’.

Even for the same facial concerns, each person has different desired directions.

💠Some people are most concerned about nasolabial folds,

💠while others may feel that a sagging jawline is more stressful.

If I were to focus only on the nasolabial folds just because they appear deeper to me,

it would be difficult to satisfy the client who actually wanted results on their jawline.

Therefore, the most important thing is ‘communication’.

Even with the same face, the points that clients consider important differ,

and this difference is relatively distinct depending on gender.

👉🏻Men often focus on overall contours and bold lines

👉🏻Women are often more sensitive to very subtle changes and detailed balance.

In other words, while men concentrate on ‘contours’ to create a more masculine impression,

women tend to focus more on ‘Tightening (elasticity)’ to address sagging and enhance firmness.

They experience small fine wrinkles, changes in skin texture,

and the feeling of 'looking tired and aged' as

more significant differences in impression.

The reason lies in the differences in the skin layers of women and men.

Understanding this difference would change the approach to Ultherapy, right?

1️⃣: Dermis

The skin's outer layer,

is thicker in men and thinner in women.

The area around the eyes is about half as thin compared to other skin,

making fine wrinkles more prominent.

2️⃣: Subcutaneous fat layer.

It's thicker in women and thinner in men.

Typically, women have 25% body fat,

while men have 15% body fat.

So, women’s fat is thicker and heavier.

Lastly,

3️⃣: The area that connects subcutaneous fat to the muscles.

There are ligaments here that are thin and weak,

which makes sagging more noticeable.

As a result, women are somewhat more susceptible to aging than men,

[especially with skin texture and sagging]

and thus they undergo treatments to reverse these effects.

Men tend to show aging more through their facial shape,

and hence they prefer contouring procedures using Ultherapy.

  1. Men focus on facial shape.

  2. Women are more susceptible to aging and need preventive measures.

  3. Ultherapy is a non-invasive and effective treatment.
