The reason why the procedure method for men's non-worrying ball sinking should be different from women's.

If you approach Ulthera in the same way for both men and women, unwanted effects may occur.

Hello,

I am Director Kim Ga-eul.

Before every procedure,

I make sure to have enough conversations with the client and thoroughly check the charts.

Because the most important criterion in a procedure is ‘the client’s needs.’

Even with the same facial concerns, each person has different desired directions.

🔼Some may be most concerned about nasolabial folds,

🔽while others might feel more stressed about the appearance of a sagging jawline.

If I proceed with the procedure focusing only on the nasolabial folds because they appear deeper to me,

the client who actually wanted a jawline improvement may not be satisfied with the result.

So the most important thing is ‘communication’.

Needs of Men and Women

Even with the same face, the points clients consider important can vary,

and this difference tends to be relatively clear based on gender.

👉🏻Men often focus on overall contours and prominent lines

👉🏻Women tend to be more sensitive to subtle changes and detailed balance.

In other words, while men concentrate on creating a more masculine impression through ‘contours’,

women tend to focus more on organizing sagging and enhancing elasticity through ‘tightening’.

Very fine wrinkles or changes in skin texture,

and feelings like 'the face looks tired and aged'

are more perceptibly felt as slight impression differences.

The reason lies in the differences in skin layers.

Understanding these differences is crucial for altering the approach of Ultherapy.

1️⃣ Dermis

The dermis is the key structure that determines skin elasticity and texture.

Generally, men have thicker dermis, while women have relatively thinner skin.

Especially around the eyes, the skin is about half as thick as other parts of the face,

which is also the area where fine wrinkles first appear.

2️⃣ Subcutaneous Fat Layer

The subcutaneous fat layer directly influences the volume and sagging of the face.

Generally, women have this layer about 25% thicker,

while men have a relatively thinner structure at about 15%.

Due to these structural differences, the subcutaneous fat in women is thicker and heavier,

which easily leads to sagging as aging progresses.

3️⃣ Structure Connecting Subcutaneous Fat and Muscle

Between the subcutaneous fat layer and muscles, there are ligamentous structures that support and fix them together.

These ligaments play an important role in maintaining the volume of the face in place and slowing down sagging.

However, if they are structurally thin and weak, the supporting power decreases,

making it easy for tissues to shift downward, resulting in sagging that appears more quickly and distinctly.

As a result, women tend to be more directly affected by aging in their skin compared to men.

Especially the differences in changes in skin texture and sagging become prominent.

Thus, women often consider lifting and elasticity treatments to reverse these changes and improve skin condition.

In contrast, men often show aging through changes in facial shape and contour rather than skin texture.

As the jawline becomes less defined and volume decreases, their impression changes,

leading to a tendency to prefer contour-focused lifting using Ultherapy.

Summary of Today

🫧Men's Ultherapy focuses on facial shape

🫧Women are more vulnerable to aging, therefore a preventive approach is needed

🫧Ultherapy is a non-invasive and effective treatment
