Sofwave Cost: 1 Session or 2 a Year?

A single Sofwave price doesn't tell you what a year costs. Here are the current prices, how long results were followed after one or two sessions, why quotes with the same pulse count differ and what to ask before you compare.

Your yearly Sofwave cost is the price of one session multiplied by the number of sessions you plan within a year. On our price list, 110 pulses start at ₩1,290,000 (VAT excluded). Two people paying that same per-session price can still end up with yearly totals that differ by up to twice as much, depending on whether they have one session and wait or split the plan into two.

That's why the number of sessions matters as much as the pulse count when you line up quotes. In this article, we'll cover the current prices, how long results were followed in studies, how to plan one session or two, why quotes with the same pulse count differ, what's normal afterward and how a session fits a trip to Seoul.

Quick summary

  • Your yearly Sofwave cost depends on the per-session pulse price and how many sessions you have in a year.
  • Price list: Sofwave 110 pulses starts at ₩1,290,000 (VAT excluded, as of September 8, 2026).
  • After one session, 83.3% of 42 people had less sagging under the chin and neck at 3 months, and 12.8% still had a wrinkle score change at 9 months.
  • What to check on a quote: the pulse count, the areas covered and how many sessions are planned.

How Much Does Sofwave Cost per Session?

It depends on the pulse count. Our public price list has a single Sofwave line, 110 pulses, and the other pulse counts appear on the current promotion page. The price list figure is as of September 8, 2026. The promotion runs from September 1 to November 30, 2026. All prices are in Korean won with VAT excluded. Seoul clinic pricing, subject to change.

Two lines need a closer look before you use them for a yearly budget. The 50-pulse trial price comes with a first-visit condition, so a repeat session should be budgeted at the regular price. The bundles include a second device, so compare the Sofwave pulse count inside each bundle on its own rather than the total.

How Long Do Sofwave Results Last?

Results were checked at 3 months and again at 9 months after a single session. That's the window I use: look at the change around 3 months, then use photos to see how much is left by about 9 months.

In a study of 42 Asian adults aged 35 to 67 who had one session covering the face, neck and under the chin, 83.3% had less sagging under the chin and neck at 3 months. Brow lift improved in 28.6%, and facial wrinkles improved in 38.1%. On a wrinkle and skin laxity score, 26.2% improved at 3 months, and that change was still there in 12.8% at 9 months.

Keep in mind that this study compared the same people before and after, with no comparison group. So those percentages are a reference point rather than a promise, and how much you see depends on your skin.

Two sessions were followed in a separate group of 15 people. Their improvement held at both 3 and 6 months. Individual results vary, and this group wasn't compared side by side with people who had a single session.

How Many Sofwave Sessions a Year Should You Budget For?

Most yearly plans come down to one of two paths. No study has yet compared different retreatment intervals for Sofwave, so the plan is built around what can be seen in photos rather than a fixed schedule.

  • One session, then photos: you have one session and compare photos at around 6 to 9 months before deciding on another. Your yearly cost stays at one session if the change holds well enough for you.
  • Two sessions from the start: you split the plan into two sessions. Your yearly cost is roughly twice the per-session price.

If sessions are booked closer together than the change can be judged, you may pay for a second round before you know whether you needed it. If you wait much longer than the follow-up windows above, it's harder to tell which changes came from the treatment. That's why I prefer setting the second session after looking at the photos.

When you collect quotes, ask each clinic to write down both the per-session price and the number of sessions they're proposing for the year. A lower single price paired with a plan for two sessions can add up to more than a higher price for one.

Why Do Two 110-Pulse Sofwave Quotes Differ?

The same pulse count can be spread across different areas, and that changes the quote. Adding the area under the chin and the neck, or the forehead above the brows, leaves fewer pulses for the cheeks and jawline.

Sofwave heats the middle of the dermis* while leaving the surface layer of the skin untouched. When sagging sits deeper than that, the quote may pair Sofwave with another device, which is why bundles exist.

*Dermis: the layer under the surface skin that gives skin its firmness and bounce.

During the consultation, I look at the balance of your whole face and any difference between the left and right sides first. I also check which layer the sagging sits in before deciding how many pulses go to each area. A quote built that way tells you more than a single total.

Sofwave Side Effects: When Should You Get Help?

Redness and swelling right after Sofwave are common, and in the 42-person study they had settled by the next visit. Redness appeared in 50% of people and swelling in 7.2%. Other adverse events weren't recorded in that study.

Contact your provider right away if you notice either of these, because they can be signs of a burn:

  • Blisters on the treated skin
  • Red, painful skin that covers a wide area or gets worse over time, like a burn

Never pop a blister. Leave it intact and keep it covered*. If the burn covers a large area or feels severe, go to emergency care right away. A message to the clinic doesn't replace medical care, so take photos and share them along with your visit to a doctor.

*Based on the American Academy of Dermatology's guidance for minor burns (general burns, not specific to Sofwave).

Fitting Sofwave Into Your Travel Itinerary

Unless you've had sedation that day, there's no need to postpone your flight because of a Sofwave session.

It also helps to know what one visit can do. Some treatments, such as filler, change your shape the same day. Most others, Sofwave included, work gradually and bring your skin closer to how it used to look rather than changing it all at once. The 3-month and 9-month check points above fall after you're home, so plan to take photos then.

Once you're home, you can send photos through the consultation button on this page if you have questions about how your skin is settling. If you notice blisters or a spreading burn, see a local doctor first rather than waiting for a reply.

The Bottom Line: What to Ask Before Comparing Sofwave Quotes

Before you compare totals, check that each quote lists three things: the pulse count, the areas those pulses cover and how many sessions are planned within the year. A useful question to ask is, "How would you split 110 pulses between my jawline and my forehead?" The answer makes quotes from different clinics easier to compare.

Like any procedure, Sofwave comes with trade-offs, and the right plan depends on your skin, your goals and your budget. Beautystone is a clinic in Seoul's Hapjeong area, and you can reach us through the consultation button on this page. In your first message, include photos of the areas where sagging bothers you and the dates you'll be in Seoul.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does Sofwave hurt?

A. Sofwave does cause discomfort: in two studies, the average pain score was 5.6 and 6.64 out of 10. Numbing cream can be used, and for wide treatment areas, sedation is an option. Which one fits is decided at your visit based on the area and how sensitive you are.

Q. When do Sofwave results start to show?

A. Sofwave results showed from 1 month in a study of 36 people treated at a 1.5 mm depth, with less volume loss in the smile lines and mouth-corner folds. There was no further difference between 1 month and 3 months in that study. Photos taken 1 to 3 months later tell you more than the mirror on the day.

Q. Can I see results from the 50-pulse trial session?

A. The 50-pulse trial price is a single session with a first-visit condition. The studies treated the whole face, neck and under the chin, so it's hard to expect the same change from 50 pulses. If the sagging covers a wide area, the pulse count is worth discussing again.

Q. Do two Sofwave sessions last longer than one?

A. In a study of 15 people who had two Sofwave sessions, their improvement held at 6 months. That group wasn't compared directly with people who had one session, so it's hard to say that two last longer. Deciding after one session and a round of photos is also an option.

Q. Does collagen keep building for months after Sofwave?

A. In a study that took skin samples after Sofwave, collagen and elastic fibers increased gradually at 1, 4, 7 and 10 months. Some authors were linked to the device maker, so it's best weighed together with the change you can see in photos.

Q. Who is the Sofwave and Ultherapy bundle for?

A. The Sofwave and Ultherapy bundle is discussed when someone wants to address firmness in the dermis and sagging in a deeper layer at the same time. Which layer the sagging sits in has to be checked first. Sometimes one device is enough.

Q. Is there a consultation fee for international patients?

A. Yes, international patients pay ₩10,000 for a counselor consultation and ₩20,000 for a doctor consultation. Both fees are waived if you have a treatment and pay for it the same day.
