Searching the Night Before Your Rejuran Appointment? Here's Which One Hurts the Least
A Clinical Breakdown of Why Rejuran HB Is the Least Painful Among Healer, HB, and Eyes

Searching the Night Before Your Rejuran Appointment? Here's Which One Hurts the Least
Before You Read — Quick Answers First
Q. Isn't the Pain Pretty Much the Same Across All Rejuran Types?
A. Not at all. Healer, HB, and Eyes each feel noticeably different when it comes to Pain. Of the three, HB is the least painful.
Q. Why Does the Pain Level Vary by Type?
A. Because the formulation viscosity, injection depth, and number of needles all differ between each type.
Rejuran Healer, HB, and Eyes — They Look Similar, But There's One Critical Difference
Rejuran is an injectable procedure that delivers PN (polynucleotide), extracted from salmon, directly into the Skin to support Recovery.
Many patients use the term "Rejuran" as a catch-all — but Healer, HB, and Eyes are actually three entirely different products.
Healer is the original formulation with the highest PN concentration.
HB is a diluted version that combines PN with hyaluronic acid.
Eyes is designed exclusively for the eye area, with the volume split in half compared to the standard dose.
Why Pain Levels Differ Depending on the Rejuran Product

The Key Takeaway
Among Healer, HB, and Eyes, HB is the least painful.
The addition of hyaluronic acid reduces the formulation's viscosity,
allowing it to spread more gently within the mid-Dermis rather than penetrating as deeply.
Let me start with a patient I saw last month — a woman in her late 30s.
She had received Healer twice at another clinic and came in saying she could never go through it again because of how painful it was.
When I assessed her, her main concerns were enlarged Pores on the cheeks and under-eye area — so I switched her to HB instead.
What she said afterward has stayed with me:
"At this level, I think I could actually come back next time."
To be honest, this wasn't a sudden change in her Pain tolerance — it came down to the physical properties of the product itself.
Rejuran Healer has the highest PN concentration at 20mg/ml.
Because of its high viscosity, even the same volume creates greater tissue displacement pressure,
and the injection depth reaches the mid-to-lower Dermis.
HB, on the other hand, blends PN with hyaluronic acid, resulting in a much lower viscosity.
It disperses more gently across the upper-to-mid Dermis at a shallower level.
And here's something important to keep in mind:
Pain during injection is driven far more by how deep and how thick the formula goes
than by the needle itself.
As for Eyes — it's formulated specifically for the delicate eye area with a smaller volume (half of 1ml),
but because the Skin there is so thin, needle sensitivity tends to come through more directly.
That's why, in terms of perceived Pain, most patients report it in this order:
Healer ≥ Eyes > HB.
That said, this isn't simply an argument that "HB is better."
Because the PN concentration is lower, so is the intensity of the effect —
for deeper wrinkles or more pronounced Pore concerns, Healer tends to deliver stronger results.
However, for Moisturizing, Skin Texture improvement, and mild Pore refinement,
many patients actually respond better to HB.
The least painful option is HB. The deepest-penetrating option is Healer.
For the eye area specifically, Eyes is the appropriate choice —
but given how thin the Skin is there, the perceived Pain lands somewhere in the middle.
The goal isn't to find "the one that hurts the least" —
it's to find the one that best addresses your specific concerns.
Which Rejuran Is Right for Your Situation?
Here's a breakdown of the selection criteria I use during consultations.
For patients receiving Rejuran for the first time, I typically recommend starting with HB.
Many people come in anxious after hearing that Rejuran causes days of Swelling and Pain —
with HB, those more intense reactions are far less common.
On the other hand, if you've already done Healer a few times
and you're looking for more pronounced results,
continuing with Healer makes the most sense.
If your primary concern is dark circles or Fine Lines under the eyes,
Eyes on its own — or a combination of HB and Eyes —
tends to be the cleanest approach.
Three Things to Check Before Your Rejuran Consultation
Q1. If I use numbing cream, can Healer be as pain-free as HB?
A. Numbing cream does significantly reduce surface-level Pain —
but with Healer, there's a distinct deep "pressure ache" that comes from the depth of injection.
That type of Pain doesn't respond well to topical numbing cream.
So even with cream applied, HB still tends to be noticeably more comfortable.
Q2. How should I think about pricing and the number of sessions?
A. It varies by product, but the standard protocol is typically 3 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart.
Since results are cumulative, patients who come in for just one session
and feel like nothing has changed are understandably disappointed.
For accurate pricing, it's best to confirm during your consultation, as costs vary depending on the treatment area and product combination.
Q3. How long does Swelling or Bruising last after the procedure?
A. With HB, Swelling typically subsides by the same day or the following day.
With Healer, a fair number of patients experience Swelling that lingers for 2 to 3 days.
Bruising depends on the injection site and the location of blood vessels —
in my clinical experience, roughly two or three out of every ten patients develop minor Bruising.
If you have an important event coming up,
I'd recommend scheduling your appointment at least one week in advance.
