Everything about Radius
Hello.
This is Chief Director Kim Ga-eul.
Today, we will learn about Radius.
First, Radius is
a product from MERZ.
[MERZ—-the company that makes Ultherapy.]

What is Radius?
What is it?
How and where is it used?
Side effects!?
I will proceed with this outline.
What exactly is Radius?
Where and how can it be used?
Are there any side effects to worry about after use?
What exactly is Radius?
Radius has been a product approved by the FDA in the USA for a long time.

It is a volumizing filler approved in 2006.
In the past, it was used for the volume of the nose and chin.
CaHA (Calcium Hydroxylapatite)
It is a calcium-based sediment that is similar to substances found in our cartilage.
When you see the product, it appears white.
The substance described above
promotes the synthesis of new collagen in our body,
When injected in high concentrations and deeply,
it creates clustered collagen in one area.
>If used on the nose, it will make the nose higher, right?
Should I use fillers? Or should I use Radius?
Product | Radius | Hyaluronic Acid Filler |
|---|---|---|
Ingredients | CaHA | Hyaluronic Acid |
Recommended Areas | Cervical wrinkles, nasolabial folds, back of hands, + volume | Volume and neck transverse wrinkles |
Duration | 2 years | 60% disappearance after 1 year |
Effects | Improvement in volume and elasticity | Improvement in volume |
Radius creates elasticity (a bit of volume),

while hyaluronic acid fills in volume.

So, where should I use it?
The role of Radius
is largely divided into two categories: elasticity and volume.
1) Chin and nose - diluted or used at a 1:1 ratio
It is a method for volume!!!
This is the method used without or with minimal dilution on the chin or nose.. this is the first method.

If you dilute it too much and create collagen over the wrinkle lines,
the wrinkles will disappear and elasticity will return to the skin.
The procedure can be done with injections or using a cannula.
Looking at the above photo, you can see very improved nasolabial folds after 8 weeks of the procedure.
2) Back of hands, nasolabial area (Effects of collagen) - A 1:2 dilution will be used.

This is for improving fine lines and skin texture.
It's for elasticity
It can also be used on the back of the hands and neck wrinkles.
When used on the back of the hands, it aims to reduce visibility of veins and enhances elasticity.
For neck wrinkles, it is used for elasticity.

What are the side effects?
First, we need to look more closely at the ingredients.
The main ingredient is CaHA (Hydroxyapatite).

It is a component that also exists in our bones and teeth
thus it has stable biocompatibility
and is quite safe.

So what are the side effects?
It is primarily nodules.

Nodules usually form for the following reasons.
When Radius is concentrated in one area,.
(There are various reasons like technique, hydration, etc.)

Summary of today's key points
1. Promotes collagen and elastin production
→ Enhances skin elasticity
2.Improves hydration, skin texture, and overall tone
3. Although the possibility of nodules is low, it exists
Control the dilution concentration and uniform injection
Hydration process must be safe.
